The North Fork Lacrosse Club’s mission is dedicated to organizing, developing and promoting the sport of lacrosse within the North Fork community. The club seeks to promote self-esteem, self-respect and self-confidence through youth lacrosse. Specifically, the Club is committed to providing opportunities, through competitive lacrosse, for players to develop skills and attitudes that will enhance their lifelong enjoyment of the game and develop confidence, discipline and teamwork that will be of benefit in all aspects of the player's life.
The North Fork Lacrosse Club fields teams from Kindergarten through 8th grade for boys and girls. These teams participate in the Nassau/Suffolk PAL Long Island Lacrosse League and the Suffolk County Girls Lacrosse League, respectively.
Practices typically begin in early January. The club coordinates indoor clinics during the winter at various locations in an effort to prepare the players for the season. Each coach determines the number of practices held each week. All efforts are made to coordinate the practices at times that are convenient for families and to minimize conflicts with other sports such as baseball and basketball. For most teams it is good to plan for a minimum of two practices each week.
The boys and girls generally play an eight game season starting at the end of March and concluding at the end of May. Additional games/tournament may be available after the season ends should teams elect to participate.
Practices for the boys/girls in grades K-3 are held at Cutchogue West on Depot Lane in Cutchogue. Practices for boys/girls in grades 4-8 will be held at Cutchogue East Elementary. Games for the 2024 season will be held at Cutchogue East and Cutchogue West Schools. Locations are subject to change.
